横山美術館見学

日本ポーセリン協会の皆さんと先月名古屋市にオープンした横山美術館に行ってきました。オールドノリタケ、真葛焼、瀬戸焼、西浦焼、有田焼、コラレンなど、明治以降世界各地に輸出された陶磁器を中心に展示されています。常設展と企画展を観ると、近代輸出磁器に携わった当時の日本人の技術がどれほど優れたものであるか、どれほどにデザインが多様性に満ちているか、そして時代の変遷など、いくら見ていても飽きることがありませんでした。

I went to Yokoyama Museum which opened last month at Nagoya with the members of Japan Porcelain Society. The collection of this museum are mainly focused on Japanese export porcelain in the modern era such as Old Noritake, Makuzu Kozanm Seto ware, Arita ware, Colarene etc etc.
We enjoyed so much.
