名古屋陶磁器会館ノーマンロックウェル展　Norman Rockwell Exhibition

名古屋陶磁器会館で、1950年代以降瀬戸や美濃で作られ輸出されたノーマン・ロックウェルのフィギュア、森公作コレクションの展覧会が3月9日まで開催中。

Norman Rockwell Exhibition is held at Nagoya Ceramics Hall now.These figures were made by Japanese ceramic factories after 1950s and exported to the States.

左の写真は「始めての床屋」と題され、床屋で男の子がおもちゃであやされながらじっとして頭を刈られている様子、右上は「家族との別れ」と題され、駅で旅立ちを待つ息子と淋しそうな父親がいる。息子の眼差しは未来へ向き、父親は肩を落として下を向いて、犬も息子から離れたくなさそう。どの作品も誰にでもある日常の一コマを切りとっている。右下は自画像で、今にも動き出しそう。

The left figure is titled “First experience of hair cutting” ,middle is “Farawell at the station” and the right one is Rockwell’s self-portrait. All of the figures are the one that everyone can remember the days with sweet and/or heartrending memories.
