ウィリアムトレヴァー・『密会』濃密な読後感

アリス・マンローがノーベル文学賞を受賞したので、昨晩は寝る前
に短編集を読みたくなり、本棚のWilliam Trevor(ウィリアム・トレヴァー）の作品を。
私が一番好きなのは、”A bit on the Side”(邦訳名『密会』）。愛し合う二人が逢瀬を楽しみなが
らも徐々に気持ちのずれを感じていく。短編ですぐ読み切れるのに
濃密な読後感があり、寝る前のナイトキャップに勧めです！

As Alice Munro got a Novel prize, before going to bed, I wanted to read one of my most favorite short story “A Bit on the Side” by William Trevor. There is no big scene of carnage in his story, however, the lovers gradually felt a cleavage in thinking. It is very good to read in the late quiet night
