中村信喬展　最終日

三越日本橋本店で開催されていた中村信喬展も今日が最終日で、新年のご挨拶にお伺いしました。ちょうど信喬先生も奥様もいらしてゆっくりお話ができて光栄でした。工芸家の先生との話は尽きることがなく、私にとって最も幸せな時間の一つです。
信喬先生は、人形を作る人はいても、近年特に近現代の人形について研究する人がほとんどいないことを語っていらっしゃいました。私も少しでも勉強して、その素晴らしさを後世に伝えたいと願います。

I went to Nakamura Shinkyo’s Hakada Doll Exhibition at Nishionbashi Mitsukoshi Department store. He told me that there many wonderful doll making artists but not so much academic researchers make research on modern Japanese doll now. Even though I am not the specialist, I would like to introduce the modern dolls as much as I can.
