公開シンポジウム「伝統工芸の”今”、そして”未来”を考える」

現在、国立近代美術館工芸館で開催中の「工芸からKŌGEIへ」に併せて、近代美術館地下ホールで、公開シンポジウム「伝統工芸の”今”、そして”未来”を考える」が開催された。パネリストは藤沼昇氏（竹工）、田口義明氏（漆芸）、前田昭博氏（陶芸）で、司会は唐沢昌宏氏（工芸課長）。最初はよくあるやたらと長い自己紹介が続くシンポジウムかとおもったが、唐沢氏の巧みな進行により、各作家の作品や伝統工芸に対する意見が聞けてとても興味深く有意義だった。
前田氏の「失敗を繰り返してきたことが今思うと創作そのものである」という言葉が心に残った。

I went to the symposium of ” Dentou kougei no Ima soshite Mirai wo Kangaeru”(Let’s think of present and past of Japanese KŌGEI held at MoMAT, The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. Panelists are Fujinuma Noboru(Bamboo art), Taguchi Yoshiaki(Lacquer Work) and Maeta Akihiro(Porcelain) and Karasawa Masahiro as discussant.
They discussed how the decorative artist have been struggled with their material and continued to make effort fo the future of KŌGEI.
It was so interesting and fruitful symposium. I enjoyed so much.
