留学生の能体験

今日は藝大の留学生向け日本文化体験で、留学生たちと一緒に、学内の能舞台で、関根友孝教授のご指導により能体験をしました。まずは歩き方や扇の開き方など基本的なことを教わってから、「老松」を練習し、そのあとは「羽衣」を拝見し、能衣装も見せていただきました。留学生たちは、足袋をはいて、時計も外して、真剣に舞っていました。私も通訳をしつつ一緒に体験させていただきましたが、すり足どころか扇を持つのさえおぼつかなく、能の奥深さをほんの少しですが感じることができました。
The foreign students of the Tokyo University of the Arts experienced Noh at the University’s Noh theater supervised by professor Sekine today. At first they learned how  to walk and use the fan. Then, they learned to play “Oimatsu”(Old pine tree) . After that, they watched a play called “Hagoromo “and saw the Noh kimono costumes. It must be a very interesting experience for them.
